Agriculture Bannu

About 45 percent area of the district is irrigated mostly through canals and the rest is dependent upon rains. In the canal irrigated area where the soil is loamy, deep ploughing and regular measuring is carried out and cash crops are widely grown. Sugarcane, wheat, maize are the usual crops. Fruits and vegetables are also grown.
